Straight Pool

This is the game of pocket billiards that all games have been derived from. Learning Straight Pool at the highest level will be invaluable in any game that can be played. The learning of patterns, break outs, position play, working in tight areas, safety play, playing from the rack, caroms, and strategy, all taught by one of the most knowledgeable players alive, Danny Diliberto.

One Pocket

One Pocket is one of the best money games there is. We have three world class One Pocket players here to teach you every aspect of the game. There is not a game of pocket billiards that knowledge alone, or the lack of, will determine the outcome of a match. This game is at the core of what we are teaching. Between the banking, position play, reading the pile, safety play, and strategy, our staff is going to raise your game of One Pocket instantly. The One Pocket class will be headed by Grady Mathews. "The Professor" brings years of experience. Danny D. and The Beard are also going to be in action on this one.

Banking and Bank Pool

This segment of the game is be taught by one of the greatest bank pool players of all time, Freddy the Beard. Freddy has authored books and DVD's on the art of banking and his systems are of the most used today. This will give an opportunity to learn the systems, shots, multiple rails, effects of english, avoiding kisses, adjusting for conditions, and even learn the shots that don't go!

3 Cushion Billiards

The game of 3 Cushion Billiards is a fascinating and extremely difficult game to master. The basic fundamentals, intermediate, and advanced techniques will be taught by one of the greatest players to ever play in the country, Bill Smith. As with all of classes of our classes, we will group the students so they can be taught at the appropriate level. Learning the game of 3 Cushion Billiards adds another dimension to your game. If you're a 3 Cushion player, expect to raise your average instantly. Even in his retirement, there's not many that will tangle with our teacher. In just two short days, you'll learn why.

Moves and Strategies

As a group, our instructors invented, modified, and contributed to, just about every move in the book. Learning how to deal with a move on you, and learning how to be the one making the moves is key to your survival in any match up. I think you'll be hard pressed to find four guys more qualified on this than our staff. Forming a strategy to win a match, get a ball, slow a player down, are all key to winning. Learning how to create a winning strategy, and how to move within your plan will be taught through every aspect of our school.

Playing in Action and Tournaments

Every one of our instructors has made a career out of "playing for the cash" in action and major Professional tournaments. This is a major part of our curriculum. Confidence, knowledge, and strong fundamentals are what will make you winner in action or tournament play. Taking the strong fundamentals that you already have, adding the knowledge and the confidence of making the right decision on every shot is what will take your game to the next level.

Handicapping your opponent

Knowing whether or not you're in a bad game usually comes too late. You should know where you stand going in. Either as the player or the backer, reading what your dealing with accurately will help you book a better game. When you look at the game through the eyes of four players with almost 200 years on the road, they'll teach what you need to know about your game and how to safely read the speed of your opponents. This will teach you how to get what you need and only give what you need to win. We are going to discuss the ways to handicap in all games of pocket billiards.

The Stories

Through the two and a half days of the school, the most entertaining part will be hearing these guys tell the tales of great matches, Johnston City, years on the road, and everything in between. This should be priceless by itself.
